This two-act comedy-murder-mystery was the 2008 offering by the MTA for the benefit of the MAEF and was again performed at the Allerton Mansion. A comedy mystery set in the old west sees the small town of Gopher Gulch struggle when the rich landowner Mr. Moneybritches is found dead behind the school. The schoolmaster and his only student struggle with town characters like the widow Mrs. Moneybritches, the schoolmaster's deaf Aunt Glenda, a confused deputy with a love for printed skirts, an undertaker-barber-lawyer-masseus-everything who will make a buck off of anything and a brand new Sheriff who knows how to act in charge, but never is. Another rousing sucess which was again written by, directed by and performed by MTA members.
