Be a part of the community in Community Theater!
                                                                                January 2020
Dear Friend of MTA,
We want to say THANK YOU for your support of the Monticello Theatre Association. With the help of your commitment, MTA succeeded in producing shows in 2019 that drew audiences from around the region, featuring local talent of all ages!
  • An innovative collaboration with MHS Thespians in an student-directed production: The Incomplete Life & Untimely Death of Molly Denholtz
  • Our popular summer youth musical:  Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory
  • Something for everyone! Comedy and Drama alike in Plaza Suite and Witness for the Prosecution
  • The ludicrous southern comedy: A Doublewide Texas Christmas
  • Our first Original Comedy Showcase with short works by local playwrights performed by our company
Our capital was invested in:
  • Two  very successful youth theatre camps for local students of all ages
  • Continued growth in our Summer Youth Production: Willy Wonka
  • A new stage and much needed structural updates to our theater
  • New lighting and sound installations to improve the quality of our shows
  • Ongoing collaboration with the MHS Thespians!  Our high school students got to cast, direct, stage and star in their own production furnished and produced  by the Monticello Theatre Association!  We are excited to grow this collaboration.  We also provided scholarships to 3 graduating MHS seniors.
In 2020, MTA will continue to educate youth and adults alike and develop new directors, actors, crew, and audience members. Contact us to get involved or volunteer, and buy tickets online at
