The mission of the Monticello Theatre Association is to foster an appreciation of the performing arts. Inherent in this mission is providing performance opportunities and promoting education in music, dance, art and theater. The Monticello Theatre Association has produced dramatic, comedic and musical shows since 1975. The Association has awarded a scholarship each year to a deserving student of the arts.

The Monticello Theatre Association, known more casually as the MTA, is a not-for-profit corporation registered with the State of Illinois.
