Monticello Main Street

Monticello Main Street, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to historic preservation and to strengthening our community’s economic growth. The main area of concentration is in the downtown business district, and the extended fringe area of Monticello’s downtown.

City of Monticello

There is plenty to see in do in Monticello and Piatt County. The city administers a robust calendar of events and outlines many municipal and government resources, including public meetings, schedules, and other information relevant for business owners, residents, and visitors.

Monticello Chamber of Commerce

The Chamber has served the Monticello community for more than 50 years. The Chamber has more than 185 business and personal members representing a wide range of businesses, organizations, and institutions.

Monticello Area Education Foundation

The Monticello Area Education Foundation supports, enriches, and enhances educational opportunities and strengthens community involvement by supporting educational initiatives for which other funding is not readily available.

Monticello School District

The Monticello Community Unit School District promotes excellence in a caring environment that enables all students to learn and grow.  The School District is committed to developing and using a visionary and innovative curriculum and a knowledgeable and dedicated staff.

Monticello Railway Museum

The Monticello Railway Museum features an operational rail yard open to the public with rides on weekends, holidays, and special events from May through October. The Museum also collects, preserves, and exhibits artifacts from throughout the fascinating history of railroads.
